Hangzhou (杭州) is one of the China’s most scenic and prosperous cities that sits near the Eastern coastline. It is a former ancient capital and home of the storied West Lake (西湖) where lovers from ancient to modern times still meet.
Deep within the mountains that surround the lake are plantations that bring to life the world’s best variety of green tea: Longjing (龙井) or “Dragon’s Well”. The video below captures a small section of Emperor Qianlong’s nine-creek walk inside Hangzhou’s pristine forests.
